Rune Factory 3 (ルーンファクトリー3 Rūn Fakutorī 3) is a simulation/role-playing video game developed by Neverland Co. and published in Japan by Marvelous Entertainment for the Nintendo DS handheld console. It was published in North America by Natsume on November 9, 2010. It is the fourth game in the Rune Factory series.

Gameplay

Like the other Rune Factory games, the story begins with a character (Micah) who has lost his memory showing up in a small town. He is greeted by a female (Shara, the heroine), who gives him a farm. Crops can be grown for profit, along with fishing, gathering, etc., and there are dungeons to explore, grow crops, and fight monsters in.
The game features new AI with dynamic schedules, as well as new battle commands and NPC interaction. Other changes in the game include: a new item called the "Transformation Belt" that allows the player to transform into a golden Wooly (bipedal sheep-like creatures), plants can be grown underground under a special tree that Micah lives in, villagers can now join you in battle and lend you their skills as battle companions, and the game's new multiplayer mode lets up to three players work together to conquer dungeons with rare items and monsters more interactively than the previous games.

Collette: Works at the diner. She'll out-eat anyone in town...unless she's distracted by food.

Marian: Outgoing girl who is training to become a doctor. However, her treatments don't always go as planned and she always wanna give a shot to her patient.

 

Karina: Unbelievably lazy girl who works at the general store. She's napping on the job.

 
 Pia: The bathhouse assistant. Ditzy girl with a bit of a fishy secret. She is a mermaid.

Sofia: Sherman's Spoiled, haughty daughter. Takes his habit of speaking in opposites.

 
Sakuya: An inn attendant who loves to travel. Sells items she finds in dungeons. Not a fan of

monsters.

 

Carmen: Loves fishing and her brother. Helps out the family fishing resort. Full of energy and easily excited.

 

 
Raven: Likes to keep to herself, and doesn't interact much with other people. Has a warm side to her. She is a half monster (phoenix) same like Micah.

 

Daria: An excitable and eccentric artist of many mediums. She LOVES rainbows.










Kuruna: The proud elder of the Univir settlement. She has an intense hatred of humans, but cares deeply for her monster brethren.
